What is a Family Hub?

Family Hubs in Devon provide a welcoming place where families can access the right support at the right time. Whether you need advice, information, or practical help, support is available in person, online, or by telephone.

Family Hubs are designed to promote the emotional, social, physical, and financial wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. They offer a single point of contact for a wide range of services, making it easier for families to find the support they need.

Family Hubs support children and young people from birth to 19 years of age, and up to 25 years for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or care experience.

Accessing Support

If you would like support or advice, please use the referral link below to complete a short form. This will gather some basic information about the support you are looking for. A member of the Family Hub team will then contact you by your preferred method, either by telephone or email, to discuss how they can help.

Services Available Through Family Hubs

Family Hubs offer access to a wide range of services, including:

• Parent and Carer Support – Advice and guidance on parenting, family relationships, and local support services.
• Early Years and Education Support – Stay and play sessions, early education programmes, school readiness support, and speech and language services.
• Health Services – Access to health visitors, midwives, public health nursing advice, and the ChatHealth text service for parents and carers.
• Targeted Early Help – Additional support for families with more complex needs through specialist teams and services.
• Family Group Conferences – Meetings that bring together wider family members to help plan and support a child's wellbeing.
• Employment and Adult Learning Support – Help with literacy, numeracy, language skills, volunteering opportunities, apprenticeships, and links to employment services.
• Digital and Telephone Support – Access to the Family Hub Advice Line, providing information, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services across Devon.
