Pupil Premium Statement
The Pupil Premium is an amount of money the government allocates to each school, to support all pupils to reach their potential. It is particularly aimed at pupils coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, who may also be in receipt of free school meals or in care. There is also funding given to children belonging to service families, known as Service Premium.
The funding is added to the planned expenditure already in place to meet the needs of identified children in school, in order for them to make good to outstanding progress in their learning as measured by a variety of government measures (e.g. OFSTED, Raise online, data from key stage assessments).
